At our recent Annual General Meeting our long serving Chairperson Geoff Parnell stepped down from the role.
Geoff’s contribution to Mosaic’s journey cannot be understated. He first became involved with Mosaic almost 15 years ago bringing valuable skills and experience in strategic planning, governance, resource management, change management, finance and risk management to our Board.
During his time as Chairperson, Geoff has helped to ensure our sound governance, shape our direction and enable our growth. By prioritising our financial sustainability he has assisted Mosaic to continue to invest in our people and systems which enable us to create opportunities and transform lives. And importantly Geoff’s unwavering dedication to our Purpose has played a key role in ensuring that family and community continue to underpin everything we do.
On the occasion of our 30th Anniversary, Geoff reflected on the many changes and challenges over the last 15 years. “We have moved from block funding to individualised funding and adjusted to the introduction of the NDIS and increased regulatory and compliance requirements. Mosaic has embraced improved care service delivery models and increased our service offerings to be able to support more people. We have also adapted to the Disability Sector moving from a collegiate to a competitive environment.”
“The future will no doubt provide many more challenges to be met, and opportunities to be taken. I feel that Mosaic is well placed to continue to be an organisation of choice for both clients and staff into the future.”
