Daniel is ready to support more clients on their NDIS journey

A great Support Coordinator can make all the difference with your NDIS experience.

Are you looking for the right support coordinator to work with? Mosaic Support Coordinator, Daniel has recently increased his capacity and is now able to support more people with disability on their NDIS journey.

Committed. Bright. Youthful. These are the words that come to mind when thinking about our Support Coordination team member, Daniel. We recently interviewed Daniel, here’s what he has to say about being a Support Coordinator at Mosaic.

How did you become a Support Coordinator?

Initially I was working as a Support Worker, supporting clients in one of Mosaic’s Supported Independent Living homes, as well as out and about in the Community. An opportunity to apply for the Support Coordination position arose and I was successful in my application. It has been a large learning curve, and over a year later the learning never stops, which I actually enjoy!

Tell us what you enjoy most about your role?

Seeing my clients work towards, and achieve their goals is very rewarding to me. I have the opportunity to meet amazing people and provide support, building their capacity in a way that is important to them.

What’s your top tip for people going for their NDIS planning meeting?

Planning meetings can be overwhelming, having a clear plan ahead of time can make a world of difference. My personal checklist is having the right people with you, the right evidence and reports (have an electronic copy of the documents to send directly to the planner), and a list of discussion points for the things that are important to you, so nothing is forgotten.

When not at work, what do you enjoy doing?

Spending time with my young family, my one-year-old twins keep me on my toes. Apart from that, I enjoy reading and going out for coffee.

How does it feel when you hear about client progress?

Any progress my clients have is inspiring, I feel encouraged and privileged to be part of the journey.
