When Mosaic client Keith learnt that his favourite rock band Metallica was coming to Perth, the idea of seeing them perform live felt like a dream.

With Mosaic’s dedicated Community Access and Support team by his side, that dream became a reality.

After careful planning, teamwork, and the commitment to making every detail count, Mosaic helped Keith experience a night he’ll never forget: a bucket-list concert filled with lights, energy, and pure rock magic!

Months of planning for the perfect day

The journey started in April 2025. Mosaic’s team got into action by helping Keith secure the tickets well in advance, knowing how much this experience meant to him. Every detail was carefully considered, from organising accessible parking to preparing the house van and planning for all the little things that make a big day out seamless.

The goal was simple: to make sure Keith could focus on what mattered most, enjoying the music and living in the moment.

Living the moment: Keith in true Metallica style

Fast forward to November 2025 and Keith was ready to rock n roll! Proudly wearing his Metallica shirt, he looked every bit the part of a true fan. The atmosphere at Perth’s Optus Stadium was electric. From the moment the giant screens lit up, and the pyrotechnics exploded, Keith was in awe. In his own words, the night was all about the “big lights” and “fire show!”

“Keith really seem to enjoy the live concert experience, especially the live music, the giant screens, colourful light show and the pyrotechnics,” Keith’s support worker shared.

The roar of the guitars, the thunderous drums, and the energy of thousands of fans created an unforgettable experience Keith will cherish forever.

Highlights from the night

One of the biggest highlights for Keith was rocking out to his favourite Metallica song, “Seek and Destroy.” Keith loves playing air guitar to this classic, and in the lead-up to the concert, he and his support worker, Rod, spent countless car rides listening to Metallica. Those moments built anticipation and excitement, turning the concert into more than just an event.

Of course, no concert night is complete without delicious food and drinks to keep the energy high. Keith summed it up perfectly: “Yummy food and drinks to complement a good night out.” It was the perfect finishing touch to an already incredible experience.

Behind the scenes: How Mosaic’s team made it all happen

Coordination by Mosaic’s Community Access and Support team ensured everything ran smoothly, from ticket purchasing and transport arrangements to support at the venue. This level of care meant Keith could immerse himself in the music without a single worry. It’s one of many ways in which Mosaic creates opportunities for NDIS participants to live life to the fullest.

What’s next on Keith’s bucket list?

Keith’s passion for rock doesn’t stop at Metallica. His playlist is packed with legends like AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Guns N’ Roses, Motley Crüe, Hunters and Collectors, and more. So, what’s next on his bucket list? Another concert, of course, because Keith wants to keep on rocking and seizing the day.
