Relief Support Workers (Full Time)

Looking for Full Time Relief Support Workers

We are looking for dedicated, experienced support workers who will be able to work anywhere in the Rockingham, Kwinana and Armadale area within Supported Accommodation and Community Access Support. These roles will require people that are available at short notice and able to work any time and any day, including weekends and sleepovers.

As one of Mosaic’s relief support workers you will be getting paid a minimum of 76 hours a fortnight regardless of the hours you work BUT in return we expect that you don’t decline shifts.
You will need:

  • You must have flexible availability to fit around our rosters (including mornings, afternoons, nights, split shifts, sleep overs, short shifts).
  • Experience working independently to provide one on one support for extended periods.
  • Confidence working in unfamiliar environments.
  • Supporting people with sometimes challenging behaviour.
  • Organisational and time management skills.
  • Enthusiasm, adaptability and can do attitude.
  • Experience at collaborating with others to deliver outcomes.
  • Commitment to uphold the human rights of the people we support.

What we require:

  • Full working rights, no restrictions.
  • 1 years minimum experience of working within disability programs and/or services.
  • National Police Clearance obtained in the last 12 months.
  • First Aid Certification
  • Australian Driving license.

Casual Support Worker

Location: South of the river – Baldivis, Bertram, Brookdale, Canning Vale, Kenwick, Harrisdale, Medina, Port Kennedy, Safety Bay, Samson, Spearwood, Thornlie and Waikiki

As A Support Worker you will:

  • Provide support to our clients so that they can achieve their dreams and aspirations

  • Working with other Mosaic team members to assist with the coordination and delivery of services
  • Respect family members’ input in supporting clients

 What we require:

  • Demonstrated ability to assist people with personal care, living skills, transport and with meeting goals and needs
  • A practical general knowledge of a human rights based approach in the individual and community context.
  • Some experience and knowledge of the community sector, including contemporary issues, legislation and regulatory compliance (such as the National Standards for Disability Services, developments and opportunities and application of relevant standards.
  • Sound understanding of Mosaic’s vision and values
  • Ability to manage and support diverse individuals in a challenging environment
  • Experience of working within disability programs and/or services
  • Be client focused, professional, independent, highly motivated and resilient
